The benefit of morse taper bits is that they can be inserted into a pillar drill without the need for a standard chuck. This means that additional force can be used whilst drilling – the drill cannot slip whilst under pressure.
Always use extreme caution. Know what speed the morse drill bit should be turning at (rpm). Always use safety glasses and protective clothing. Beware of loose fitting clothes becoming entangled in the swarf or drilling area.
